In today's show, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Ben Nixon, sound technician, musician and educator residing in Calgary, AB. Ben runs his live sound company, Mossy Rock Productions with the same tenacity that's gotten him to where he is in the industry working for major festivals like Calgary Folk Fest, partnerships with Alberta Music and Project Wild as well as a steady gig at the Mount Royal University's prestigious Bella Concert Hall. With that tenacity, Ben has also experienced physical setbacks and as many of us do, times to call into question if it's all worth the physical and emotional turmoil we place upon ourselves. Thankfully, Ben has found peace in prioritizing his physical and mental wellbeing, and we share with you in today's chat some of the keys to success Ben has found along the way.
This is a great look at how unforgiving the music industry can be and how to manage the hardships from a very up close and personal take. Tune in and be sure to share it out with those you care about if this one hits home.
For more info on Ben, check his site out at www.mossyrockproductions.com and be sure to give him some love.
Please rate and review the show if you're diggin' it so we can continue to grow the movement of musician health and wellness across our wonderful community.
