The Underground Is Open
Dispatch #01
Calgary, there’s something brewing underground.
For the past year I’ve been quietly documenting the local music scene… shows, artists, venues, conversations happening after midnight and before soundcheck.
Some of it became interviews.
Some of it became photos.
Some of it turned into a zine.
Now it has a home.
MusicFit Underground.
An independent Calgary publication dedicated to the people building music culture from the ground up.
Not the industry headlines.
Not the algorithms.
The real scene. Fan-fuelled.
Built for this city’s artists by this city’s artists.
Inside the Underground you’ll find:
• artist features and interviews
• live show photo dumps
• scene dispatches from around the city
• playlists and conversations with musicians
• stories about the reality of building a creative life — both on and off the stage
And occasionally…
some weird stuff. 🤪
The Underground runs on a simple rhythm:
Weekly Dispatches from the scene
